fun shots

So I was thinking..... watching the kids play,
wondering, laughing at how funny they are, will I remember these simple times?
Kids making funny faces, the perfect freckles the sun kissed on his face, the dirt on dainty little toes?
I'm not so sure.
So i told myself no matter how weird or annoying my pictures become, to always document these great times. I've realized that now P#1 is almost 8 and P#2 to be 6 this year, they are not baby's forever, and they wont be young forever.
I remember so many people saying they grow fast, so cherish these years........I will.

Fun weekend

We had alot of fun with my sister and her boyfriend. They came over on Friday evening and stayed until Sunday afternoon. It was beautiful outside, in the mid 90's. I think we all got alittle too much sun. We went to the flea market, a winery, and to a country mercantile( where Cory and Greg sampled "the worlds hottest hot sauce", which made them both almost cry!!) Then we BBQ, made some cocktails, and played board games. The kids loved the visit from their aunt. Lots of fun!

Breakfast the hubs made us.

Mothers Day

We had a good time at the park yesterday. The kids got to play on the playground, fish and then we had sno-cones and walked the river. I'm so glad the weather is finally nice!!

The kids were looking for 4 leaf clovers
P#1 found one, though not sure if its actually a clover?

P#3 found a 6 leaf clover and she said "I'm really super lucky now!!"

they had fun playing

Teachers Day

Today is national teacher's day. Usually I think these days are just silly, but P#1 has the most amazing teacher I had to do something for her.I made her an I-pod/camera case, P#1 said it had to be cool. And we baked her banana bread. She was very surprised that he got her something. He also made her a card, this is part of what it says, and thank you to all the teachers who work so hard with our children.........

If I could teach you, teacher,I’d teach you how much more you have accomplished than you think you have.I’d show you the seeds you planted years ago that are now coming into bloom.I’d reveal to you the young minds that have expanded under your care, the hearts that are serving others because they had you as a role model. If I could teach you, teacher,I’d show you the positive effect you have had on me and my life.Your homework is to know your value to the world,to acknowledge it, to believe it.Thank you, teacher.

April showers brought May flowers

Our yard is starting to look so good! I'm excited that everything is turning green, especially after a way too long winter and everything being ugly and brown! Our plants have sprouted up so quickly too, I found the first flower today, and looking forward to my lilies, glads and roses. The tree just started to get leaves

I have no clue what these are?

Lily bushes, they are huge already

First flowers

Raspberry,blueberry and strawberry plants
Romain lettuce, starting to sprout

Red onions, what a surprise. They weren't this big a few days ago

Everyone worked so hard doing yard work, all while P#3 worked hard on just being cute!

I found this chair at a thrift store and thought it had alot of potential. I was so right!!It was only 3 dollars, and the fabric and upholstery nails were 5 dollars, a "new" chair for under 10 $.I worked on this morning, it took me total of 3 hours to sand, paint, and re-upholster.

Before....

After.....

I also started my new diet today, I'm going to try the Special K, I can have whatever I want for dinner so the hubs cooked me Halibut, baked baby reds and broccoli, it was delicious!!
